About the class and who are your teachers:
Each week, there will be a presentation about a particular topic.

• Through the use of slides and videos, we will discuss some of the issues facing Americans  today.
• After the presentation, we will have time to answer any questions you may have and give you  an opportunity to talk about your thoughts about the topic.
• Also, you might want to tell us how the topic relates to your home country.
  • ​How is it the same or different?
• Along with the presentation, some words and phrases and idioms may be new to you.  We will highlight them as we go through the presentation.  
  • ​If there is something you do not understand or wish to comment upon, then ---  ​
  • PLEASE INTERRUPT !!  It's ok to do that in our class!
• We encourage class participation.
• It's ok to make mistakes, so do not be shy about speaking.
• We hope to make this an informative and stimulating class for you.
